About Kiyose City Folk MuseumTHE MUSEUM

The Kiyose City Folk Museum is a silver-gray building surrounded by trees and wildflowers that recreate a wooded area in Musashino. It opened in November 1985 (Showa 60) as a new type of multi-functional museum to learn from the wisdom of our ancestors and to create a new civic culture.
On the first floor, there is an exhibition hall, a history exhibition room, a folklore exhibition room, a video exhibition room, and a coffee shop called "Museum Cafe Kiyo-se". In addition, a separate building houses a folklore studio where visitors can experience the lifestyle of their predecessors.
As a center of local culture, the museum offers a variety of programs that are familiar to all citizens, so please visit us.
