What is Tomo no K ai?

The Kiyose City Folk Museum Friendship Association was established on October 20, 1985, a year before the opening of the museum, with the aim of deepening mutual knowledge and friendship among members while actively participating and cooperating in museum activities, thereby contributing to "community development" from a cultural perspective and the development of distinctive local culture. It was established on October 20, 1985, one day before the opening of the museum. Anyone can become a member.

Main Activities

- Holding of regular general meetings - Holding of special lectures at general meetings - Twice a year (one-day trip and mini-trip) study tours for friendship by chartered bus - Holding of Kiyohaku Kiyo-se Juku (study group) about three times a year with a different theme each year - Publication of the newsletter (Tomonokai News) and Photo Museum (explanatory essays with photos on the theme of Kiyose) Publication of the newsletter (Tomonokai News) and Photo Museum (explanatory essays with photographs on Kiyose) - Volunteer cooperation and support for museum activities, etc.

     KIYOSE Hometown Karuta" was created by the KIYOSE Hometown Karuta Production Committee in 2015 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the opening of the Kiyose City Museum of History. This year, we plan to visit three of the six temples (Entsuji Temple, Enpukuji Temple, and Tokoin Temple) featured in the karuta, listen to a talk by the temple's head priest, and view valuable cultural assets.

    Kiyose City Folk Museum Friends Association

     The “Kiyohiro” Friendship Association was started one step before the opening of the local museum (November 1, 1985), and will celebrate its 40th anniversary this October. In the fall, we will have a mini exhibition booth for the 40th anniversary of the Friendship Association in conjunction with the 55th anniversary exhibition of the city, so please visit the museum! We look forward to seeing you there.
