Standing Statue of the Bodhisattva Kannon (Main Object of Worship) (Ento-ji Temple)

There are three talismans inside the statue of Kannon Bosatsu; one of them is dated Shōhō 3(1646) and reads: “Sculptor Son’emon, Jōju-in Temple, Kawaguchi Village, Sashō, Shimōsa Province.” Another states that it was created in the 2nd year of Kaei (1849) by sculptor Uchida Takejirō with the assistance of village headman Tomoeemon and the entire village community.Known as the “Sho (Se) Kannon,” the statue features a well-balanced lower body.
